Lower Extremity Wounds: The Basics (Parts 1, 2 & 3)

Unnas Boot Application Demonstration

Wound Care Education Instructor Cindy Broadus RN demonstrates the application of an Unnas Boot. The Unnas Boot is what is called a “short stretch” which will help a patient establish blood flow up out of the lower extremities. In order for it to be effective, the boot will need the patient to work along with it. Cindy explains what is meant by the patient working along with the Unnas Boot. It is also important to note the proper application of the Unnas Boot and its functionality.
