PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Anasept Antimicrobial skin and wound Gel is a clear,
amorphous, isotonic hydrogel wound dressing that helps
maintain moist wound enviroment that is conductive to healing,
by either absorbing wound exudate  or donating moisture while
delivering broad spectrum antimicrobial sodiumhypochlorite.
Anasept Gel inhibits the growth of microorganisms, such as
staphlyococcus aureus, psuedomonas aeruginosa,
Escherichia  coli, proteus mirabilias, serratia marcescens,
Acinetobacter baumannii, methicillin resistant staphylococcus
aureus (MRSA), and Vancomycin resistant Enterococcus
faecalis (VRE) that are commonly found in wound bed, as well
as, fungi such as candida albicans and aspergillus niger.

Safety:
Anasept Antimicrobial Skin and Wound Gel has been subjected
to rigorous safety and toxicological evaluations to comply with
FDA regulations at an independent FDA registered testing
facility and shown to meet all criteria for safe use.
• Modified Skin Irritation Study(FSHA method- 7 day exposure
with repeated insult to intact and abraded skin)

• Cytotoxicity (USP Agar diffusion test)
  
• Systemic Toxicity (USP)
  
• ISO Sensitization Study

WCEI’s Skin and Wound Management Course is a  four or five-day wound care training seminar consisting of classroom training.

For 5-Day Class Sessions

Days 1-4
Concentrated all-day wound care training sessions
9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Day 5
NAWC® Wound Care Certification Examination 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Administered by National Alliance of Wound Care®) following WCEI’s wound care training.

4-Day Class sessions vary and may be customized to meet group needs.

As Wound Care Certified professionals, one of our responsibilities is to educate our patients and peers as well as staying informed. In a series of upcoming blog posts, Wound Care Resources Series, we will be sharing information about available resources to our Wound Care Certified and Health Care provider community.

Today we will be sharing information about a Wound Photo CD Resource that is available through WoundCentral.com. This CD is filled with various images of wounds and skin conditions for use in educational and training programs. On this CD you will find images of pressure ulcers, lesions, venous and arterial wounds, diabetic wounds and close up pictures of tissue types. This CD is a great for adding visual reinforcement to you educational activities.
