Best Practices in Pediatric Wound Care: Because Kids are not Small Adults

The Wild on Wounds National Convention is coming up  September 23-25, 2010 in Las Vegas. Continuing in our session highlights, Best Practices in Pediatric Wound Care: Because Kids are not Small Adults, will be presented by Roxana Reyna RN, WCC of Driscoll Children’s Hospital.

The focus of this session is Wound Care best practices for the neonatal and pediatric population. This session will help participants identify the differences between the skin of the neonate, child and adult.  Also included are the risk factors associated with skin breakdown and images of the most common wound types. To complete the session, topical wound management will be reviewed.
